I am an accredited paper conservator with more than twelve years' experience of archival conservation.  I first worked on the archives of the Boulton & Watt Collection at the Birmingham Central Library, following which I took charge of conservation at the Walsall Local History Centre, and was then appointed Conservation Manager at the Gloucestershire Record Office.  After the birth of my second child, I decided to work from home in Gloucestershire, where I have a fully equipped conservation workshop with facilities for secure storage (and professional indemnity insurance).
